What makes me a great choice as YOUR Personal Trainer?

I used to think that the fact that I got into this “Health & Fitness” field so late (I was in my early 30’s when I took my first Zumba classJ) was going to be hindrance for me. With so many professionals in this field being able to add 25+ years’ experience to their resumes compared to my only 5 or 6, why would people want to come to me? What could I offer with my measly amount of time in actual study of Health & Fitness?

Then I realized, Health & Fitness is a life long journey. And although my personal study hadn’t been solely directed to that for as many years, I have spent my whole life up & down, struggling with, and learning this subject we now call Health &Fitness.

I believe one of my strengths is what was once my greatest weakness. I was an athlete in school so I didn’t have to worry about focused activity or exercise, it was just a part of my day. I also was burning enough calories that other than junk food, I didn’t really have to watch what I ate. I stayed at a healthy state for all 4 yrs of high school and into the 1styr of collage without having to learn about Health & Fitness. It just was. Then something called life happened. I was no longer in sports but had never been taught about nutrition so I was still eating as if I was, which lead to weight gain in my 20’s, which lead to diet pills, yo-yo dieting, trying every FAD Diet that came along as well as drinking chemically laden products like Slim Fast and even starving myself or binging. Not to mention the self-esteem robbing, confidence stealing, mood swings that come with all this. Sound familiar?

Then I met a wonderful man, got married, had 2 babies, had an ok job, and kept telling myself I should just be happy with things the way they were. Lots of people would kill to have what I had so I should just suck it up. I was 31, and that’s what being in your 30’s just felt like, Right?!? Tired, overweight, breathless, on the verge of needing cholesterol meds….NO!!! It doesn’t have to be that way. And because of my life experiences, my passion for helping and teaching others, and my beliefs that Health & Fitness is MORE than just physical, I believe I can help you reach your goals!
